When: Wednesday nights 9/18-10/2 from 6:30-7:30PM

North American Mission Board
Atlanta Ministry Center
Friday, October 25-Sunday, October 27
Clarkston, GA
$70 per person, must be 14 years or older to participate.

Just outside Atlanta, the city of Clarkston—affectionately called “the Ellis Island of the South”—is home to one of the most diverse populations in America. In Clarkston, 60-70% of the population is foreign-born, resulting in more than 50 countries and 100 ethnic groups all residing within the same 1.4 square miles. The Atlanta Ministry Center is committed to serving the surrounding refugee population. By partnering with various resettlement agencies, local churches and volunteers, the ministry center: facilitates English as a Second Language classes, organizes after-school programming, offers job skills training and provides affordable healthcare. The Atlanta Mission Trip will include various forms of community outreach in the Clarkston and Atlanta areas. Teams may participate in activities such as apartment outreach, food pantry ministry, after-school programs, sports ministry, canvassing, prayer walking, homeless ministry, physical labor, serving at-risk families, and university campus ministry.

About one-third of the trip will also include aspects of training and equipping so volunteers can learn how to serve the international and refugee community better.
